Jimmy Loren Rose, 66, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at his home. He was born on August 9, 1941 in Quenemo, the son of Clarence A. and Edith M. Mollett Rose. He graduated from Quenemo High School in 1959. Jim was a Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1960-1964. He was employed by Goodyear for 34 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Goodyear Top Ten Club three different times. Jim married Beverly Ann Crane on August 7, 1960 in Ottawa, KS. She survives. Other survivors include one son, David S. Rose and wife, Sheri of Hoyt, one daughter, Diana L. Rose-Oellien and husband, Darren Oellien of Overland Park, three grandchildren, Christopher, Katherine and Jessica Rose, one step-granddaughter, Jennifer Meggison, one step-great-grandson, Skyler Meggison, four sisters, Mary Jo Hutchison and husband, Walt of Quenemo, Laura Mae Pulliam and husband, Jim of Madison, FL, Jeannie Williams and husband, Kinney of Lubbock, TX, Betty Ellen Kraus of Ottawa, and one brother, Bill Rose and wife, Shirley of Quenemo. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harvey "Bub" Rose, Clarence E. "Babe" Rose and Lee Roy Rose. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place in Prairie Home Cemetery on Menoken Rd. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
