Joan Bayless Sherretts, 73, Auburn, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City.
Joan was born January 24, 1934 in Topeka, the daughter of Ernest and Esther (Hoppe) Priddy.
She worked as a meat wrapper at C&W Market, Tiltons, and Falleys; and later worked at Sears, retiring in 1989.
She married John G. Bayless on January 20, 1951 in Topeka. He died in 1979. She married George Sherretts on July 1, 1986. He died in 2000. Survivors include sons, Gary E. Bayless and wife, Linda, Auburn, James A. Bayless and wife, Anita, Ozawkie; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Floyd Priddy, Silver Lake.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Auburn Community Center, Auburn. Burial will follow at the Auburn Cemetery. Newcomer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
