Johanna Martine "Jo" Ocobock, 82, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 28, 1934 in St. David, Maine, the daughter of Frank and Delima (Daigle) Fournier.
Jo resided in Kansas since 1952. She was employed by the State of Kansas for many years prior to retiring in 1993. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the New Beginnings Choir. Jo was an avid KU Basketball fan and enjoyed gardening.
Jo married Lyell Donald Ocobock on August 12, 1952 in Scandia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tirell on April 26, 1976.
Survivors include three daughters, Avril (Mark) Thompson, Martine (Bryant) Michael, Raena (Brian) Sommers, nine grandchildren, Skye, Jarrod, Aubrey, Ellyce, Alexis, Colton, Thayne, Danyon and Kyle, fifteen great-grandchildren and her siblings, Pearl King and Normande Plourde.
A Celebration of Jo's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Private inurnment will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Scandia, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel.
