John W. "Rocky" Christy, 66, of Topeka, passed away July 10, 2012 at Midland Hospice House. He was born to Roy R. and Myrtle O. (Reed) Christy on Sept. 18, 1945 at Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from Topeka West High School and attended Washburn University. He had a long and successful career in real estate sales and development. He was a real estate broker and in 1985 served as the President of Topeka Board of Realtors and was voted Realtor of the Year. He established John W. Christy and Co. Real Estate.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy. He is survived by his children, Steve Christy and Shawnsa Christy; mother, Myrtle Christy; siblings, Ronald Christy, Mary Ellen "Chris" Glenn, Tamara Whorton, and Roy "Rick" Christy.
Memorial services will be held at Mt. Hope Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Cir. Topeka, KS 66606
