John Matchie Eteeyan, Sr.

John Matchie Eteeyan, Sr., 70, of Topeka passed away June 11, 2017 at his home. He was born September 20, 1946, to Archie and Laura (Moore) Eteeyan in Topeka. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1965.
John worked as a warehouseman nearly all of his life beginning at Goodyear Tire & Rubber in the 1970's. He retired after 24 years.
He enjoyed bowling and Native American drumming. John was a member of Standing Bear Inter-Tribal Brotherhood and a honored elder of Shawnee County Allied Tribes.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of 48 years; his son John Jr., daughter, Linda and son Robert; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; 1 brother and 1 sister. John was preceded in death by his parents, and his infant daughter, Kimberly.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service from 7:00 - 9:00PM.
