John Aaron " Tubb" Hunt, Jr. of Topeka, Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019. John was a former resident of Alameda, Antioch and Rocklin, California. John was born March 20, 1943, to John Aaron Sr. and Regina Mae (McDaniel) Hunt in Anthony,KS. He was a graduate of Norte Del Rio High School, Sacramento, CA, in 1961. John was employed as a store director with Lucky stores at multiple locations in the Bay Area.
John married Rita Kay Arnett on October 29, 1966, in Reno, NV. John is survived by his wife, Rita, and his daughters Jennifer Galluzzo of Topeka, KS, Tracie (Matt) Freeman of Rocklin, CA, and Lindsey (Mick) Husmann of Wichita, KS. Grandchildren, Taylor (Brett) Huebgen, Jonathan Galluzzo, Cody Husmann, Logan Husmann, and Kylee Freeman. One great grandson, Lawson Huebgen. Also surviving John are siblings, Rod (Janice) Hunt, Cecile (Chuck) Smalley, Deanna (James) Wright, sisters-in-law, Kathie Williams, and Joyce (Tom) Lightsey and brother-in-law, Rod (Jody) Arnett as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert (Bob) and Dorothy Arnett, brother-in-law, Larry Williams, and grandson, Michael Husmann.
John was an avid golfer for many years and enjoyed playing with friends as well as his many golf trips.
Cremation is planned.
Per John's wishes, there will be no services.
