John Franklin Keller, 67, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022.
He was born April 22, 1955, in Lake City, Florida, the son of John August Charles and Wilma Jean (Dixon) Keller.
He graduated from Ocoee High School in 1973 and furthered his education receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. He also graduated from Washburn Tech as an Auto Mechanic.
John worked as a long haul truck driver prior to his retirement.
John married Elizabeth Smith on April 22, 2011 in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Keller of the home; children, Erica Keller of Skipperville, Alabama, Christopher (Allyson) Palombo of El Paso, Texas and Wesley (Crystal) Vanderpool of Topeka; grandchildren, Garren Richardson, Colby Richardson, Julianna Cook, Alissa Vanderpool, Drake Vanderpool and Kaia Fox; sisters, Marlene Padgett of Salem, Oregon, Annette Deas, Katherine (Jim) Darling-Knotts and Pamela Darling all of Weeki Wachee, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeffrey Darling.
John enjoyed taking to the road as a truck driver. He liked cooking and fishing. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family driving them nuts.
Honoring John's request cremation is planned. No services have been scheduled at this time. A Celebration of John's Life will take place sometime in 2023.
