John O. "Ox" Brandenburg, 41, of Topeka, passed away July 1, 2014. He was born January 8, 1973 at Topeka, Kansas to John William and Mary E. Collier.
He graduated from Seaman High School. John attended Vo-Tech and became a heavy equipment operator for L. G. Pike at Arkansas City, Kansas. He was a big time Harley-Davidson lover. He was a very talented and creative individual. John was a member of the American Legion Post in Arkansas City, Kansas.
He is survived by his daughter Jessie Brandenburg, of Arkansas City, and 2 sons, Cole and Cory Brandenburg, both of Topeka; his mother, Mary Brandenburg, of Topeka; also his siblings, Lloyd Brandenburg of Topeka, Ferlan Brandenburg of Scranton, and Laura Meadows of Dickinson, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his sister Brenda Mason, as well as his best four-footed friend "Jo-Jo."
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont, Kansas.
