John C. Schlink, 81, of Berryton, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. He was born January 2, 1943 in Tecumseh, Kansas, the son of Glenn and Helen L. (Frakes) Schlink.

John was employed by Pauline Coop in Topeka where he was employed for over 30 years before retiring. 

John married Sarena A. Moyer on May 30, 1998 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2015. 

Survivors include one daughter, Angela D. Golightley of Topeka, three grandchildren, Talin (Kaley) Golightley of Kansas City, Missouri, Gage Golightley of Topeka, Ava Golightley of Topeka, two siblings, Donna Brannon of Berryton, Robert (Sharon) Schlink of Berryton, and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenn Schlink, Dale Schlink, Nancy Stringfellow, Larry Schlink and James Schlink. 

A Celebration of John's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Meals on Wheels of Eastern Kansas, 2134 SW Westport Dr., Topeka, Kansas 66614.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
