John L. Trimmer

John Lee Trimmer, 73, of Topeka passed away on October 16, 2017. Born November 10, 1943, in Washington Court House, Ohio, he was the son of Charles and Helen (Speakman) Trimmer.
He was a graduate of Washington High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. John travelled the world, serving in over 12 different countries.
He retired from Good Year Tire & Rubber in 1998 after 33 years of service.
John married Judy on June 13, 1971 in Topeka, Kansas.
He enjoyed roller skating, camping and his family. John loved attending his grandkids activities.
John was preceded in death by eight brothers; Dean, Newt, Jim, Paul Dale, Pedro, Dick, Eddie and Bob.
He is survived by his wife, three children; Jason (Kathy) Trimmer, Jeff (Christina) Trimmer, and Justin (Maggie) Trimmer, six grandchildren; Nicole, Riley, Lydia, Taeton, Bentley and Brady and seven siblings; Pat, Wayne, Annie, Lynn, Elsie, Terry and Sherry and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave. Topeka. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Topeka, KS 66606.
