Jolanda Henderson

Jolanda "JJ" Henderson, 35, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at a Topeka Hospital. She was born in Topeka on April 2, 1970, the daughter of Evelyn Hill and the late Johnnie Fisher Sr. Jolanda lived in Topeka and attended Topeka High School. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, enjoyed reading and singing. Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Hill of Evansville IN, her son, Damarcus Henderson, and her fiancé, Bruce Scott both of Topeka. She is also survived by 8 brothers and 5 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel with burial to follow at Topeka Cemetery. Jolanda will lie in state after 2:00 pm Sunday, with a family visitation from 6-8 pm Sunday evening.
