Joyce L. Freeman

Joyce Lavetta Freeman passed away November 14, 2011 at a Topeka hospital. She was born in Topeka, the daughter of Harvey and Alice Smith, on February 8, 1937. She married at 17 years of age and enjoyed a long successful marriage of 57 years with her husband C.L. "Duke" Freeman, who survives. This union brought forth three sons, Loren, Dewey and Leonard. She is also survived by one brother, Edwin Smith of Hutchinson, KS.

She enjoyed TV, her flowers and gardening, walks, the outdoors and camping, puzzle magazines and especially her grandchildren. She will always be loved and held close to our hearts.

The family will receive friends at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service from 2:30–4:30 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2011.
