Juan Lopez

Juan Abel Lopez, 40, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born April 13, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Abel Lopez and Eva Reveles.

Juan worked with his father doing construction and helped with the family’s rental properties.

Survivors include parents, Abel and Eva; sisters, Marilyn Lopez and Erica Lopez; son, John Lopez with a grandchild expected later in April; daughter, Zella Lopez; nieces, Makayla Montelongo and Madison Montelongo; and nephews, Elijah Lopez and Jermiah Lopez.

Juan loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed cooking a good meal, fishing with his son and niece, shopping, watching and playing soccer and was an avid Chiefs fan.

The family will receive friends beginning at Noon with a funeral in Juan’s honor to follow at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2025 at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka, KS 66605. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
