Juanita Pearl Godsey, 88, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
She was born July 17, 1926, in Leroy, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Martha (Highley) Hunter. She graduated from Garnett High School.
Juanita resided in Topeka for most of her life. She was a layout supervisor for Jostens, retiring after 30 years. She was a member of the Shawnee Heights Baptist Church.
Juanita married Eldon E. Godsey on May 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2002. Survivors include three sons, Ivan (Kay) Godsey, Meriden; Gary Godsey, Topeka; Edward (Jill) Godsey, Schertz, TX; three siblings, Gerald (Lola) Hunter, Topeka; Opal (Jay) Bradley, Waverley, KS and Clayton (Verla) Hunter, Hoyt; four grandchildren, Bret Godsey, Taylor Godsey, Tracie (Brian) Highfill and Amy Martin (Dr. Patrick Martin) and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Salena Marie Godsey and Adam Lynn Godsey and one sister, Beluah Markley.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
