Judith A. Smith, 68, of Ozawkie, KS passed Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born August 28, 1944 at Beloit, KS, the daughter of John & Helen (Madison) Hunter.
Judy was raised in Beloit and graduated from Beloit High School. She married Dean R. Smith on December 16, 1967 at Salina, KS.
Judy was a long time employee of Kaw Valley Bank (Main Branch) in Topeka. Together, she and Dean enjoyed riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles. Judy was a member of the American Legion Riders, Post 225, and American Legion Auxiliary, Post 225.
Judy is survived by her husband, Dean; sons, Curtis, of Topeka, Brian, of Meriden, Brett, of Olathe; granddaughters, Brianna, Erin, Abby and Casey; grandson, Sean; sisters, Barbara Reed, Patty Hunter, Sondra Phillips, Joan Donovan; and brother, John Hunter.
A visitation to celebrate Judy's life will be held from 2-4:00 p.m., Friday, March 8th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka. A private family graveside inurnment will take place in the Ozawkie Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
