Judith J. "Judy" Pratt, 65, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at her residence, after a short battle with cancer.
Judy was born July 6, 1946 in Great Bend, the daughter of William and Dora (Krause) Bauer. She graduated from Great Bend High School in 1964. She received a degree in Business from Ft. Hays State University and her M.B.A. from Washburn University.
She worked as an accountant for B.R.B. Contractors and was currently employed as an accountant at Silver Lake Bank.
She was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene and formerly a member of Town & Country Christian Church.
Judy married Donald E. Pratt on September 29, 1968 in Topeka. Don died April 15, 2009. Survivors include their son, Randy Pratt, Topeka; sisters, Louise McCord, Hays, Grace Lewis, Wichita; brother, William (Donna) Bauer, Wichita; brother-in-law, Norman Pratt, St. Louis, MO; and sister-in-law, Deloris Zink, Topeka; and various nieces and nephews. Judy was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Judy will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
