Judith L. "Judy" Wiese

Judith L. "Judy" Wiese, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at a Topeka care center. She was born August 1, 1940 in Elkins, West Virginia, the daughter of Arthur and Virginia (Mathews) Chilgren.

Judy graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed by Shawnee County as an Office Manager for several years before retiring. She served as the first female traffic manager for Cardinal of Adrian. 

She enjoyed knitting and oil painting among the many other crafts she excelled at.

Survivors include children, Cheryl Wickersham of Berryton, John A. Wiese of Lawrence, Kansas, one granddaughter, Jamie of Topeka, and her siblings, Bonnie Mello of Mesa, Arizona, David Chilgren of Topeka, Kathy S. Broxterman of Ozawkie, Kansas.

Judy was preceded in death by her daughter, Leanne Porter and her brother, Steven Chilgren.

A private Celebration of Judy's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
