Judith K. Hay

Judith "Judy" K. Hay, 64, of Wakarusa, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007 at her home. She was born on April 30, 1942 in Topeka, the daughter of Clayton and Jackie T. Burke Powers. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1960. She was employed by Jostens Yearbook Company for 28 years before retiring in 2002. Judy married Kiel Hayes in August of 1960. They were divorced. Judy married Olen R. Hay on June 29, 1973 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Jackie T. Bayless of Wakarusa, her children, Mickey Hayes, Virgil Hayes, Mindy Bell, Kiel Hayes all of Topeka, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Richard "Terry" Powers of Utah, Mark Bayless of Wakarusa and one sister, Marilyn Kampsen of Topeka. Her youngest daughter, Jackie Hay has been missing since 1981. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Cecil Bayless and her sister, Cindy Reece. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Shawnee Center Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS.
