Judith Annette Roettgen, fondly known as Judy, passed away on March 1, 2025, in Overbrook, Kansas, at the age of 86. Born on September 2, 1938, in Topeka. Judy led a life marked by her unwavering dedication to others and a profound love for her family. 

Judy’s career in nursing was a notable achievement, as she earned her CNA Nursing degree and dedicated over a decade to caring for those in need. Her compassionate nature and ability to nurture made her an exceptional nurse and a trusted caregiver in her community. Known for her outgoing personality, fun-loving spirit, and a wonderful sense of humor, Judy brought joy to all who knew her. She cherished the moments spent with her family, particularly during the holidays when family gatherings were filled with laughter and love. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother and mother, often looking after her grandchildren and those in the neighborhood. Showcasing her nurturing spirit beyond her professional life.

Judy was passionate about her hobbies, enjoying listening to her cherished records and engaging in puzzles, which brought her delight and leisure. Her laughter and loving presence will be missed by all.

Judy is survived by her sons Ronald (Laura), Gary (Shannon), David and Larry; her daughters Barbara (Brad), Deborah (Glen) her brother Ron (Debbie Rowland) and over 20 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Donald Roettgen, her sister Mary Hedrick Carter as well as her grandmother Lula Gurwell and grandfather Floyd Gurwell, her father Jonathan Rowland and her mother Electa Lewis. 

Judith Annette Roettgen will be lovingly remembered for her extraordinary life, her commitment to caring for others, and the warmth she brought to her family and friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday March 14th 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Located at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel 4700 SW 17th St. Topeka, KS 66604
