Judy Wilder, 69, of Topeka, passed away November 27, 2014. She was born to Clinton and Mildred (Sweeny) O'Neal on November 6, 1945 at Tacoma, Washington.
She grew up in the Topeka area and graduated from Topeka High School. She married Richard Wilder on March 3, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was employed at Memorial Hospital for 22 years, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, was self-employed for a number of years, and was a co-owner of Tacos 4 You. Judy graduated from the Menninger Bible Study in 1988. She was a member and participated in numerous church duties at Light of the World Christian Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard; daughters, Cindy (Linda) Wilder-Towery, and Richelle Wilder; son, Richard (Sonya) Wilder II; 5 grandchildren, Myla Weakland, Rose Wilder, Tuesdá Wilder, Mercedes Miles, Mackenzie Miles; 1 step-granddaughter, Becky Lesher; 2 great-grandchildren, Grayson and Audianna; and an expected great-grandchild in January. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel on December 2, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
