Jule C. Folsom, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Midland Hospice House. He was born June 9, 1930 in Littleton, CO, the son of Jesse R. and M. Matilda Burch Folsom.
Jule was an Army veteran during the Korean War. He went to work for Rosco Concrete Company in 1956 and became a Partner in 1976 before retiring in 1985.
Jule married Emma "Marie" Dallen on December 22, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2013. Jule was also preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua and five siblings. Survivors include their children, Marc C. (Glennis) Folsom of Topeka, Sherri L. (Joe) Patterson of Hastings, NE, Kim M. (Kelly) Stauffer of Topeka, three grandchildren, Lyndsay, Emily and Shelly, two great-grandchildren, Annabella and Lily and two sisters, Vera Lundquist of The Colony, TX and Laurann Byrd of Lawton, OK.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at East Side Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Jule will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to East Side Baptist Church, 4425 SE 29th St., Topeka, KS 66605.
