Julia C. Jama

December 14, 1918 — April 8, 2021

Julia C. Jama, at 102 years of age, passed away on April 8, 2021. Born on December 14, 1918, in Radley, Kansas. She was the daughter of Albert and Julia Midoux, who were both born in France and came to the USA in 1905.

After graduating high school, Julia attended Pittsburg Business College.

Her first job was at Pittsburg Radio Supply as a bookkeeper. She also worked at the Census Bureau, the Ammunitions Plant in Parsons, Kansas, in 1945, and at the Radley Post Office where she retired from in 1982.

Julia married Elmer Marvin Junior in 1943. Seven weeks later he died for his country in World War II.

On September 25, 1948, Julia married Andrew Jama. He preceded her in death. They were blessed with 3 children. Her two sons, Tom Jama, and Terry Jama preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Patty Flower.

In 2006, Julia moved to Topeka to be closer to her daughter. When she was 90, she moved to California to live with her son for 5 years, then moved back to Topeka.

Julia enjoyed music, dancing, reading, crossword puzzles, playing the piano, traveling, playing cards, and visiting with friends and family.

Julia will be laid to rest at the Garden of Memories in Pittsburg, Kansas.
