Julie Annell Rowley, 60, of Topeka, KS, died March 23, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.
Julie was born on April 8, 1961, in Topeka, KS, to Benny and Dorothy (Lindburg) Rowley. She was fond of her childhood in Eatontown, New Jersey, and loved growing up near the ocean. Her family returned to Topeka in her teenaged years, where she met Richard McNeil. Julie and Richard were married and had a daughter, Stephanie (McNeil) Ayers, in 1979. Julie remained in Topeka, KS, the remainder of her life and was remarried once to Eric Schneider (deceased).
Julie had a passion for music, jewelry, crafting, baking at the holidays, British mystery novels and television shows, exercising, and eating healthy. She influenced her daughter's sustained love for 80s music and was known to sing loudly while working around the house. She enjoyed laughing with friends and was appreciative of the emotional support they often provided. Julie spent her professional career in the medical and social work fields, and had gone back to school later in life to obtain her associate's degree. Before she fell too ill, her most favorite thing in life was spending time with her granddaughter, who called her "Mimi."
Julie is survived by her daughter Stephanie Ayers and husband Tim; granddaughter Abigail Ayers; sister Lisa McCarter and boyfriend Jason Hastings; brother Aaron Rowley; brother-in-law Brett McCarter; mother Dorothy Rowley; and several aunts and uncles.
