Katherine Elizabeth "Kitty" Bidding, 86, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017.
She was born September 13, 1930 in McClouth, Kansas, the daughter of James Arthur and Mabel (Grant) Sparks.
She was a member of Seaman Baptist Church, Topeka.
Kitty married Earl L. Bidding on November 25, 1974 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2000. Survivors include four children, Judy Ireland, Grants Pass, OR, Linda (Jerry) Cornelison, Topeka, Sharon Link, Topeka and Scooter (Barb) Bradley, Osage City, KS; a step-daughter, Janie Bryant, Perry, KS; 12 grandchildren, Stacy Zimmerman, Tammy (Sam) Sona, Mark John Cox, Misty McGinley, Terri Lynn (Mike) Goerndt, Shannon Corber, Crystal Corber, Billie (Jim) Stewart, Samantha (Derek) Montgomery, Skeeter (Quentin) Laws, Megan Bradley and Holly Erb; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Woodward, Winchester, KS; and her brother, Clifford Sparks, Gardner, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Bradley; a great-grandson, Blake Alan Corber; several siblings.
Kitty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her other enjoyments included camping, fishing, gardening, quilting, sewing, cooking, playing poker and going to the casino.
A funeral ceremony will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
Katherine will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m.
