Kathie J. Polter, 67, Topeka, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015.
Kathie was born June 1, 1948 in Topeka, the daughter of Vernon L. and Dorothy L. (Shorthill) Hutton. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1966.
She was employed as an office manager for Volume Shoes, retiring in 1993.
Kathie married Larry Polter on November 11, 1994 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include son, Brian Montgomery; grandchildren, Brandon and Brandi Montgomery; sister, Stacy Letson; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Montgomery, all of Topeka.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
