Kathleen C. Howard, 77, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Aldersgate Village.
Kathleen was born February 16, 1934 in Lawrence, the daughter of William and Rachel (Carter) Norris. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1952.
She was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church.
Kathleen married John Douglas Howard on April 22, 1955 in Lawrence. He died May 23, 1985.Survivors include daughter, Cynthia S. Killinger, Topeka, and her children, John Hayden, Adrianna Sparks, Austin B. Killinger; son, Jerry D. (Evelyn) Howard, Topeka, and their children, J. T. Howard, Dain Howard; son, Douglas S. Howard, Ft. Worth, TX, and his children, Jeffrey Howard, Steven Howard; and great-grandchildren, Sean, Bailey Ann and John Patrick.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Kathleen will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, after 3:00 p.m. Thursday and visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
