Kathleen "Kay" Ratekin, age 96, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018. She was born in Blockton, Iowa to Everett and Edna Menelaus on January 31, 1922. She graduated from Blockton High School and Iowa State University. She made a career in sales at Scandinavian Imports before her retirement.
She married Eldon Ratekin. They were divorced.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her son, Mark Ratekin. She is survived by her son, Kevin Ratekin of Topeka and her nephew Gary Cavanaugh.
Private interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
