Kathleen "Katie" Sherrow

Kathleen “Katie” Sherrow, 103, of Tecumseh, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. She was born May 2, 1921 in Galt, Missouri, the daughter of Alva F. and Hazel D. (Raines) Sherrow.

Katie graduated from Graham High School in 1939. She attended Platt Business College in St. Joseph, Missouri and completed a correspondence course in English Literature from the University of Missouri in 1950. She was employed by the City of Topeka Parks Department from July 1969 until retiring in May 2, 1989. She enjoyed tennis, bowling, softball, gardening, carpentry and horseback riding.

Survivors include her siblings, Jean Buster of Buena Vista, Colorado, Donald (Edna) Sherrow of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, her close friend, Patricia A. Martin of Tecumseh and several nieces, nephews and God-children.

Katie was preceded in death by her siblings, Alva Sherrow, Alberta Harmon, LeRoy Sherrow, Mary Hass and Ronald Sherrow.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will take place in Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, Missouri.
