Kathryn Bixel
Kathryn Elizabeth Dawson Bixel , 87, of Topeka, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Midland Hospice House. She was married on October 13, 1943 to Clair D. Bixel, of Topeka. He survives. She was born July 12, 1922 in Graham County, Kansas, the daughter of Bertha and Hubert Dawson.
She was a 1940 graduate of Carbondale High School and a 1943 graduate of Christ's Hospital School of Nursing.
She is survived by eight children, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and five sisters. She was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and a grandson.
