Kathryn Carrie "Katie" Rush, 26, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009 after a long illness.
Katie was born July 6, 1982 in Topeka, the daughter of Thomas and Barbara (Lewis) Rush.
She graduated from Topeka West High School in 2000 and the University of Kansas in 2006 with degrees in Graphic Design, Computer Information Systems and Business Administration.
She had been employed at Hart, Davis, Hart Fine Wines in Chicago, Sagetec Consulting and Jostens in Topeka.
She had been a member of Lowman United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her parents of Topeka, brother, Eric and wife, Kari, Omaha, NE; grandparents, Allen C. and Evelyn Rush, Topeka, Helen M. Lewis, Topeka; and her faithful canine companion, Lucy.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kathryn Rush Scholarship Fund at Topeka West High School, Art Department.
