Kathryn Marie (Likens) Marolf, 72, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021.
She was born February 22, 1949, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Gilbert and Nadine (Faulk) Likens.
Kathryn graduated from Seaman High School in 1967. She furthered her education at Emporia State University.
Kathryn was employed by Stormont Vail Health working in the personnel department for over 25 years. She then worked for Building Blocks of Topeka as a financial manager before retiring.
She married Richard Marolf on August 2, 1969 in Topeka, KS.
Survivors include her husband, Rick of Topeka; her children, Justin (Sumita) Marolf of Overland Park, KS and Gina (Zach) Miller of Anchorage, AK; her mother, Nadine Kelly of Topeka; her siblings, Gary (Carey) Likens of Topeka and Leslie Pryun of Aurora, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert; her step-father, Prentis and a sister, Marsha Schmoe.
Kathryn was very creative. She enjoyed quilting and painting. She especially loved children and made everyone feel special.
Honoring Kathryn's request, cremation has take place. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Dove Cremations and Funerals - Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610.
