Kathy Jo DeHerrera, 38, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.
Kathy was born October 17, 1970 in Judith Gap, Montana and grew up in Valentine, NE.
Kathy was employed by Fashion Bug in Omaha, NE and Topeka as a retail manager. She retired in 2008 due to health reasons.
She was a member of the Wanamaker Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Kathy married Roger DeHerrera on December 28, 1994 in Yankton, South Dakota. He survives. Other survivors include their children; daughters, Tiffany, Jordan, Elizabeth and Brittany; son, Daniel, all of the home; brothers, Vernon Ulrich, Fallon, NV, Robbie Ulrich, Concordia; and her father, Robert Ulrich, Billings, MT.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Wanamaker Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Kathy will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wanamaker Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2435 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
