Keith A. Lindberg, 72, Topeka, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Midland Hospice House.
Keith was born February 9, 1938 in Lindsborg, the son of Eugene and Esther (Gallager) Lindberg. He graduated from Salina Central High School and attended Bethany College and Kansas State University.
He was employed for 36 years with Kansas Power & Light which later became Westar Energy, retiring in 1995 as the Manager of Gas Transmissions, Pipeline Operations.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, making clocks and small decorative furniture.
Keith married Doreen Roe on July 24, 1960 in Oberlin. She survives. Other survivors include son, Gary Lindberg; daughter, Sherri (Terry) Wilson; four grandchildren; two great grandsons, all of Topeka; and a niece, Linda Peterson, Raymore, MO. He was preceded in death by a son; Brian Lindberg; and two brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Klasse Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road.
