Kenneth D. Webber, 82, of Berryton, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014. He was born May 5, 1932 in Leonardville, Kansas, the son of Laurence J. and Elizabeth J. Wagonrodt Webber. He graduated from Leonardville Rural High School in 1950 and attended Kansas State University.
Kenneth was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He had resided in the Berryton community since 1969. He was employed by Essex Wire Corporation before retiring in 1995. He attended East Side Baptist Church and was a member of the IBEW Local No. 226 for over 55 years and the AACA Topeka Region.
Kenneth married Elizabeth Rose Miller on August 24, 1968 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Melinda M. Baldwin of Newton, Rebecca J. (Ron) Campbell of Tecumseh, four grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Parker and Sarah, two sisters, Creta A. Ghrer of San Diego, CA, Claryce D. Anderson of Green, KS and one brother, Virgil "John" L. Webber of Riley.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at East Side Baptist Church. Cremation will follow and private inurnment will take place at a later date. Kenneth will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
