Kenneth E. Lott

Kenneth E. "Sarge" Lott, 65, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 26, 1945 in Owensboro, KY, the son of Daniel G. and Sallie A. Davis Lott. He has resided in Topeka since 2006.

He was a 23 year career Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Ken was a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Philip- Billard Post No. 1650, V.F.W., Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion and Aerie No. 4319 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include his companion, Diana Campbell of the home, two sons, Marty and Dena Lott, Jean-Paul and Diane Lott, both of Chapman, six grandchildren, one brother, Henry Eugene and Anne Lott and one sister, Wilma Lott, both of Owensboro, KY.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where military honors will be provided by a burial detail from Fort Riley, Kansas. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Local Chapter No. 604 of the Vietnam Veterans of America c/o Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 S.E. Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605.
