Kenneth L. Flohrschutz
Kenneth "Kenny" L. Flohrschutz, 74, Berryton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tues., Feb. 22, 2011. He was born June 21, 1936 in Berryton to Walter and Flora (Murrison) Flohrschutz.
He graduated from Berryton High School in 1954. He was a lifelong farmer. Kenneth married Alberta F. Baxter on Aug. 19, 1956. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Dennis, Rusty (Angie) all of Berryton; Brian of Olathe, and Tony (Amy) of Lawrence; one daughter, Diane Helm of Tonganoxie; his brother, Keith (Jodi) Flohrschutz of Pueblo West, CO; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Alice and Martha and one brother, Eugene.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tues., March 1 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel burial will follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Kenny will lie in state after 2:00 pm on Mon., Feb. 28 with visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd, Topeka, KS 66604.
