Kenneth Paul Taylor, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Midland Hospice.
He was born on June 27, 1932 in Huntsville, Missouri to Hubert D. and Esther G. (Shaw) Taylor. Kenneth worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years.
He married Grace Smith on January 19, 1957. Kenneth is survived by his children, Debbie (Keith) Eubanks of Denison; Paul (Nancy) Taylor of Auburn, WA; Linda Pape (Ray Hamersky) of Topeka; and Brenda (Tony) Keatley of Topeka; his brother, Jerry (Jean) Taylor of Casa Grande, AZ; nine grandchildren, Abby, Tracy, Eric, Samantha, Shelby, Brandon, Bailey, Michael and Casey and four great grandchildren, Raegan, Leighton, Greysen and Britton.
He was preceded in death by his wife on January 26, 2009, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Kenneth will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Cir, Topeka, KS 66606.
