Kenneth Wayne Scott

August 6, 1949 — March 1, 2020

Kenneth Wayne Scott, 70, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born August 6, 1949 in Axtell, Kansas, the son of Harold David and Regina Mary (Wichman) Scott.

Kenneth graduated from Sts. Peter & Paul High School in Seneca, Kansas. He was an Army Veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam. He retired from Northrop Grumman in 2018, after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Kenneth married Karen J. Heiman on October 19, 1974, in Baileyville, Kansas at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She survives. Other survivors include children, Kristine Scott, Kelly J. Scott (Samuel) Eubank, Kliffton (Jeanette) Scott, Kurtis (Cheri) Scott, Kenneth L. (Rachel) Scott all of Topeka, nine grandchildren, BreAnna, Caleb, Raine (Chad), Cheyenne (Taylor), Tavis, Noah, Madison, Samuel and Penelope, two great-grandchildren, Quinlyn and Wyatt, and his siblings, Carol Wichman, Richard Scott, Keith Scott and Karen Scott.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Bruce Scott and Craig Scott.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be Prayed at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. The family will receive friends following the Rosary until 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
