Kenny Jairo Del Real, 19, of Topeka passed away June 2, 2017. He was born on April 23, 1998 in Topeka, Kansas to Pedro and Graciela (Gamez) Del Real. Kenny grew up in Topeka and attended Highland Park Central Elementary, Robinson Middle School and Let's Help for his GED. Kenny had been employed by 3 Men & 2 Trucks Moving, Reser's and a roofing company.
He loved socializing, hanging out and being around his friends and family. He was a free spirit. He loved trying everything. A long walk to enjoy the nature surrounding him was a favorite pastime. There was pretty much nothing he wouldn't try! He was very "hands on" and liked to build and rebuild things, he created crazy things. He enjoyed landscaping his yard and wood carving, as well as deep conversations. He was very open minded and questioned nearly everything and anyone. He had an "old soul" and was wise beyond his years. He was proud of his appearance (nearly always a fresh crease in his pants) and had a very positive demeanor with a beautiful smile!
He will be deeply missed by the family that survives him: his daughter, Adalynn Yvette Del Real-Soto; his mother, Graciela Del Real of Topeka, and his father, Pedro Del Real of South El Monte, CA; three brothers: Pedro Del Real, Jr., Noe Del Real and Yandel Pacheco; grandmothers, Juana Gamez and Victoria Blanco Quiroz both of Zacatecas, Mexico; and his grandfather, J. Santos Del Real, also of Zacatecas, Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Teofilo Gamez.
A wake will be held at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service on June 8, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler, Topeka, KS 66616 on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Rd. Topeka, following the mass.
Memorial donations may be made to his daughter, Adalynn.
