Kent Alan Davis, 62, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Kent was born December 19, 1961 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Jerry and Judy (Long) Davis. While raised in Lawrence, Kent spent his adult years in Topeka.
Kent was a member of Break Through House in Topeka. He spent his time watching and analyzing movies. He loved listening to classic rock music especially the Beatles and Bob Dylan. Kent loved the Arts and History and was enjoyed discussing Van Gogh, President Teddy Roosevelt and General George Patton. He amasses an impressive collection of poetry that he composed with two poems being published locally. He was a deep thinker and was always pondering ideas and interesting topics for discussion.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Davis of Baldwin City, KS, sister Jennifer Davis (Debbi Kilmer) of Akron, OH, and brother Tim (Cheryl) of Hutchinson, KS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Davis, brother, Don Davis, and nephew Kendrick Davis. In addition to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1517 E 15th St, Lawrence, KS 66044. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Valeo Behavioral Health Services, 330 SW Oakley Ave., Topeka, KS 66606.
