Kirk Bryan Myrick

Kirk Bryan Myrick, 57, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.

He was born June 26, 1964, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Daniel and Dorothy (White) Myrick.

Kirk graduated from Seaman High School in 1983. He was employed by Carols Pretty Pets and worked as a Pet Groomer for 15 years.

Kirk was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene in Topeka and the APA (American Pool Association).

Survivors include his father, Daniel (Sandy) Myrick of Topeka; his mother, Dorothy (Dave Doud) Myrick of Topeka; his children, Shalynn Boyd, and Christy (Darin) Milligan both of Topeka; his sister, Doreen Myrick of Topeka and his close friend, Nicholas (Dawn) Rhoads of Holton; his grandchildren, Hailey Steele, Parker Steele, Connor Steele, Peyton Brandenburg, Braelyn Brandenburg, Maleigha Boyd, Damon Huggins and Nathan Huggins; his "bonus siblings", Dan (Janet) Defendorf of Baltimore, MD, Tim (Rachel) Defendorf of Knoxville, TN, Jaime Lynn (Josh) Defendorf Foster of Tecumseh, KS, Matt (Renee) Doud of Topeka, KS and Luke (Shannon) Doud of Elmont, KS.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Brandenburg.

Kirk enjoyed fishing, camping, animals, playing billiards and baking.

Honoring Kirk, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Kirk's Life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66614. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service time.
