Kirsten Elizabeth Friedl, 61, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016. She was born July 24, 1955, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of George Gerald and Gladys Dale (Harrison) Friedl. Her Godmother was Helen Zarger.
Kirsten grew up in Topeka and attended Avondale East Elementary, as well as various Topeka Catholic Schools. She graduated from Hayden High School. Kirsten went on to graduate from Neosho County Community College in the early 1990's, where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing. She did all of this while raising three boys at home. She was a caring and dedicated nurse for over 25 years.
Kirsten is survived by her three sons, Timothy Friedl-Buckland, Ian Friedl-Buckland and Christopher Friedl-Buckland; grandchildren, Lucian Andrew Buckland and Julian Joseph Buckland; daughter-in-law, Megan Buckland; brothers, Michael Friedl, Gerald Dennis Friedl and John Henry Friedl; sister-in-law, Carolyn Friedl; nieces, Rachel, Tracy and Stacy; and many, many more family and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys; brother, George Philip Friedl and Godmother, Helen.
Per her wishes, Kirsten was cremated. Memorial services are pending.
