Kristin Jan Aschenbrenner, 51, of Topeka, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 14, 2025.
She was born October 7, 1973, in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Stephen and Carol (Houston) Aschenbrenner. She was a graduate of Wichita County High School in Leoti, Kansas and Garden City Community College.
Kristin assisted her mother at the Wichita County Learning Center.
She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka.
Survivors include her parents, Stephen and Carol Aschenbrenner of Topeka; her brother, Stephen Todd Aschenbrenner and his wife, Diane Sheern Aschenbrenner of Manhattan, Kansas; two nephews, Dayne Aschenbrenner, Bodyn Aschenbrenner; a niece, Brooklynn Aschenbrenner; her aunt, Rose Marie Aschenbrenner of Arizona; her uncles, Roy Houston of Denver, CO, Phillip (Phyllis) Aschenbrenner of Denver, CO, Tom (Juanita) Aschenbrenner of Brewster, KS and Nick (Lisa) Aschenbrenner of Bonner Springs, KS; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roy and Vera Houston; her paternal grandparents, Steve and Theresia Aschenbrenner; her uncle, John Aschenbrenner; her aunts, Theresia Rose Aschenbrenner, Janice Swenson and Sandra Gaede; and her cousins, Keri Aschenbrenner and Jason Aschenbrenner.
Kristin loved K-State Football and attending games in purple beads. She enjoyed line dancing, and remembered every important date including family birthdays, other special events.
Cremation is planned. A celebration of life ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
