Larry Joe Ashton, 61, of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021.
He was born April 10, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Randol) Ashton. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1978.
Survivors include his significant other, Dee Dekat of Topeka; his son, Landan Ashton of Topeka; his brother Ron Ashton and his sister Ginger Riis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry enjoyed gardening – he had a green thumb – and loved his family. He liked and knew a lot about computers, often tinkering with them and helping others.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 5th at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue in Topeka. The family will receive friends and visitors one hour before the service at the Southeast Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604-3720.
