Larry Dean Burgoon

Larry Dean Burgoon, 56, of Topeka, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021.
He was born December 10, 1964, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Kenneth A. Burgoon and Betty L. (Shinn) Lamberd. He graduated from Wellsville High School where he was a 3A district champion in football and a multiple award winner in baseball, track and basketball. He served in the Air Force from 1985 to 1989 as a flight simulator specialist.
Larry was employed by Prairie Band Casino for 17 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Haley Burgoon of Wichita and Ashley Kent of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Courtney Bernal, Lylah, Odin, and Ember and another granddaughter on the way; and many close and distant friends from over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry enjoyed playing and watching sports. He was always entertaining friends, going places with them and planning trips. He was a die-hard Chiefs fan and also enjoyed the Royals and the Jayhawks.
Larry was cremated. There are plans for a celebration of life at Arrowhead Stadium to be decided at a later date.
