Larry C. Williams, 66, of Topeka, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 19, 1949 in Ottawa, KS, the son of Earman and Sarah (Robinson) Williams.
Larry was employed in the construction field for most of his life. He had resided in Topeka since 1982.
Larry married Yvonne D. Phannix on March 24, 1984 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include five daughters, Victoria Brown of Topeka, Toni Carson of Jacksonville, FL, Cheyanne Williams of Kansas City, MO, Tanisha Williams of Topeka, Lauren Williams of Topeka, eight grandchildren, David Brown, Keisha Brown, Tony Brown, James Harrison, Jamie Harrison, Amaris Parker, Rahiem Parker and Giselle Rodriguez, three siblings, Bernice (Floyd) Bartlett of Emporia, KS, Jim Williams of Overland Park, KS, Willie Williams of Springfield, AR and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Earman Williams, his mother, Sarah Williams, his brothers, Earman Williams, Jr., Victor Wilhoite and Louis Williams and his sisters, Marilyn Simon and Christine Williams.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Larry will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Larry C. Williams Memorial Fund c/o Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605.
