Larry J. High

Larry J. High, 70, Topeka, died Monday, November 26, 2007 at a local hospital.

Larry was born July 23, 1937 in Wentworth, MO, the son of Robert and
Mable (Reid) High. He grew up in Carthage, MO and graduated from
Pittsburg State University in 1959 with a degree in Business
Administration. While in college Larry served with the National
Guard.

He worked for several economic development corporations in the state
of Kansas and retired in 2001.

Larry married Kay Gass on May 24, 1964 in Grandview, MO. She survives.
Other survivors include their children; Brian High and wife, Karen,
Topeka; Gretchen Holy and husband, Quentin, Kansas City, MO;
grandchildren; Connor and Mallory High and Elison Holy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1,
2007 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Burial will follow at
Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Larry will lie in state at the funeral home
after 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2007. Visitation will be from
6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
