Larry Christopher Krill, 76, Topeka, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021.
He was born September 24, 1944 in Kearney, Nebraska, the son of Donald Charles and Esther Gene (Garrett) Krill.
He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1962. He joined the United States Navy in 1963. He left Active Duty with the Navy and joined the 190th Air Guard in Topeka, Kansas until his retirement, serving for over 30 years.
He worked for the Postal Service as a Material Handler for over 30 years, retiring in 2008.
He was an avid sportsman and loved going to any and all live sporting events and playing golf. He enjoyed traveling on bus tours and made sure to visit all of the ball parks at the stops.
He treasured his family. His three daughters were the center of his world. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He loved watching them play sports and taking them to local community events.
Nostalgic stories were a must; from the Red Dodge Truck or the mysterious broken window. His daughters loved hearing Dad, Linda and Don reminisce about funny stories from their childhood. A couple of their favorite stories included when the truck ended up in the pond or the time they hopped the trains to another town.
He will be remembered as the honest and truthful man that he was. He lived for the moments of family events; whether it was sitting around visiting or playing board/card games. One of his favorite times of the year was when he and all of his cousins would get together for New Year's Eve card games.
Survivors include his three daughters, Lacey (Kevin) Baldwin, Melissa (Christian) Avalos and Christine (Jeffrey) Merryman; his mother, Gene Krill; brother, Don Krill Jr.; grandchildren, Loren Baldwin, Parker Baldwin, Cole Avalos, Blake Avalos, Callen Avalos, Logan Merryman, and Avery Merryman.
