Larry Lee Roudybush

November 26, 1941 — April 13, 2015

Larry Lee Roudybush, 73, of Auburn, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. He was born November 26, 1941 at Home, KS the son of Guy and Eula (Plattner) Roudybush. Larry was raised in Onaga, Kansas and Louisville, Kansas. He graduated from Wamego High School in 1959. Larry went on in life to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Management from Washburn University in 1981.

Larry worked as a warehouseman for Morman Manufacturing in Manhattan, Kansas, but his favorite job was being a stay-at-home dad and grandpa. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, leather work and following all the activities of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Larry married the love of his life, Shirley L. Havenstein on October 6th, 1962 at Alma, Kansas. She survives of the home. Larry is also survived by daughters, Sharon Hester (Bill), Carolyn Roudybush and Susan Worley (Richard); grandsons, Billy (Katrina), Bryan (Charity), Trenton (Christian) and Clinton; 9 great-grandkids; sisters, Elnora Starr, Pat Dekat, Karen Gilliland; brothers, Leonard, Norman and Howard Roudybush; numerous nieces and nephews, plus a multitude of "Bonus" kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verella and grandson, Raymond Marcus Worley.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18th at First Congregational Church at 17th and Collins Ave. in Topeka. A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Friday, April 17th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 6th and Gage in Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Choroideremia Research Foundation, 23 East Brundreth Street, Springfield, MA 01109-2110 or online at www.curechm.org or First Congregational Church of Topeka or the charity of the donor's choice.

In memory of Larry, leave your suits and ties and dresses in the closet! Wear your favorite sports team, whether it's shirt, jersey or hat. Larry's favorites were the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers… and don't forget them K-State Wildcats!
