Larry Reid, of Basehor, Kansas died on May 16, 2016. He was born in Anthony, Kansas on August 23,1939 to Harrison and Vera (Weaver) Reid.
He served as a military policeman in the United States Army. He followed his passion for woodworking as a carpenter specializing in cabinetry.
He married Theresa Larkin and started a family in Leavenworth, Kansas. He always found things to do and people to help in the community.
He is survived by his wife; three children: Bill of Topeka, Gene of Topeka and Karen of Basehor; two grandchildren: Alex and Abbie; and three siblings: Wayne Reid of Port Arthur, TX, Joyce Seipel of Norwich, KS and Peggy Reid of El Dorado, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Stanley and his sister Phyllis.
The family will celebrate his life on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Topeka. Inurnment will be at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
